The RISE Resillience System

My Philosophy

It's as simple as A.. B.. C


As we regularly say in RISE Resilience classrooms and workshops: 

Action Brings Commitment. 


Which is where my role comes in. As a Positive Psychologist and Well-Being Coach, I believe in guiding my clients towards discovering their own inner strength, resilience, and wisdom. I know from both professional expertise and lived experience, including navigating ADHD, 'grey area' drinking dependency, and the sense of stuck-ness many of us face today, that everyone has the ability to create a fulfilling and meaningful life. Sometimes you just need the right tools, a fresh perspective, and someone who’s been there to help you unlock it.


That’s why I created my RISE Resilience Programmes for schools and workplaces back in 2022. Since then, I’ve expanded my work to include specialist ADHD training and coaching, blending neuroscience, Positive Psychology, and practical strategies that help people shift from overwhelm to clarity.


At the core of everything we do at RISE Resilience is our unique ‘3B Equation’ system:

I’m Liz Folan, Positive Psychologist, Well-Being Coach, and certified ADHD coach with over three decades of experience in education and resilience work. How Positive Psychology Helps You Become STRONG

Adversity is inevitable,  whether it’s workplace stress, school pressures, or personal challenges like ADHD, anxiety, or burnout. Positive Psychology doesn’t erase the hard stuff, but it gives you the science and tools to grow stronger through it.


That’s why I developed the STRONG Model my signature framework, inspired by Dr Lea Waters’ research on adversarial growth.
