“Liz has been working with our students for a number of years now, and has developed and delivered a fantastic programme focused on student resilience and wellbeing. Over the course of the programme, students are taught coping techniques and equipped with practical tips and psychological tools to help navigate life’s challenges and become the best version of themselves they can be.  Stress, anxiety and trauma are very real issues for our diverse student cohort, which includes many care-experienced and asylum-seeking young people. The engagement with the programme has been phenomenal, with significant improvements in student engagement, attendance and retention as a direct result. Feedback on the programme from students has been universally positive, with many describing the programme as making them feel better about themselves and giving them a stronger mindset.

Liz has also delivered staff development sessions to our staff teams on resilience, wellbeing, positive psychology and self-care. She is now a regular speaker/trainer on our INSET days, and the feedback from staff has also been equally affirmative. Staff valued the opportunity to work on their character strengths and liked that the techniques offered on self-care and managing stress were practical and easy to implement, whilst having lasting value.”

"When I first started working with Liz, I was completely lost. I didn’t know myself at all. My self-awareness was so low that I couldn’t even tell you what kind of sandwich I liked, let alone make meaningful choices about my life.

Through Liz’s resilience one-to-one positive psychology training, I gradually began to rebuild my mindset and discover who I truly was. Over time, my outlook shifted, my confidence grew, and I started making decisions that brought joy and purpose back into my life.

Just over a year later, I can hardly believe the changes. I set up my own running club to combat loneliness when my children are with their dad. I found the courage to apply for—and land—my dream job, with a considerable salary increase. And perhaps most astonishing of all, I took myself solo camping this summer. Back then, I couldn’t even sit comfortably in my own company for a few hours, and now I actively seek out and enjoy independence.

Working with Liz has been truly life-changing. I’ve gone from surviving to thriving, and for the first time, I feel like I know who I am."

"We are delighted with the work Liz has been doing with our students and staff, addressing issues ranging from staff well-being in an individualised, ongoing one-to-one way to building resilience and confidence for exam cohorts.

Everything Liz does is rooted in expert knowledge in the field of psychology and underpinned by her extensive background in education. Feedback on her sessions has been overwhelmingly positive, with a real impact on the well-being of our whole school community."

"It is not an exaggeration to say that my work with Liz over the years has transformed my life! I was feeling particularly stuck and confused when I started attending her sessions and later worked with her one-to-one, and the breakthroughs I had have led to me dramatically changing my professional mindset. This change has had a direct impact on my teaching and relationships with staff and students alike, but it has also seen me embark on my own self-development journey by training to become a fully certified life coach. I cannot recommend this magic worker enough!"

"In a word—transformational! I have learnt invaluable emotional-regulation tools from my sessions with Liz. She is insightful, astute, and has provided wrap-around support for me at the darkest of times through her prolific social media channels, podcasting, and her Liverpool Live Radio slot every Friday. I share her stuff with everyone—far and wide."

"Liz (sunrise.psychology) came into our workplace this week and transformed my life! She is a top lady, and she’s got loads of motivational stuff going on. She ran a fantastic session on avoiding burnout and self-care. We were encouraged to pick our word of the year to set as an intention. I chose CREATIVITY, and I haven’t stopped creating since. Thank you for allowing me to reconnect with this part of my personality that I loved as a child but had let wither away in my busy adult life!"

"Working with Liz has been amazing! She was an uplifting and vulnerable facilitator who made us all feel safe. I have learned so much in terms of the power of journalling, mindfulness, and meditation. She has shared some brilliant resources and knowledge, which I have found a huge help. I have rediscovered a newfound passion for my career whilst also embracing the joy in just being creative and found the confidence to try new things and share this within the group. The sessions have been a joy and invaluable.

I cannot find enough words to express how wonderfully supportive and motivating Liz is, and I would recommend anyone wanting to make positive changes in their life to book in with her. I always leave a session feeling empowered, inspired, and motivated to make my dreams my reality. Liz's positivity is infectious, and she leaves a trail of sparkle wherever she goes. If you are contemplating working with Liz on your self-development journey, look no further!"

"Thank you for delivering RISE Resilience sessions at The Studio School, particularly for the Year 11 cohort on how best to support their own mental health.

We have had a very small number of ‘wobbles’ during the GCSE exams this year, and I believe your work on positive psychology and mindset, as well as managing exam stress and anxiety, has made a significant difference.

I must highlight, in particular, your work with a number of Year 11 boys who typically struggled with self-regulation during breaks and lunchtimes. These boys not only engaged with you but sought you out independently for ongoing advice and guidance—especially during the exam period—which made a positive contribution to their exam experience. Thank you for your care and support with all our students."

"When I started coming to Liz on a Thursday, I was feeling really low. I had just done badly in my mocks, I couldn’t focus, and I felt like everyone else knew what they were doing while I was stupid.

Working with Liz completely changed my perspective. She taught me that I had hidden superpowers called 'signature strengths.' I took a test and discovered that kindness, bravery, and creativity were all top strengths of mine. This was life-changing! With Liz’s guidance, I created mantras to push the mean thoughts out of my head and actually learned to direct kindness toward myself.

Liz also introduced me to sections from Let Them Theory  by Mel Robbins, which helped me connect with my inner voice and improve my friendships. She was with me every step of the way, even on the day I received my GCSE results. And guess what? I passed!

I’m now starting an apprenticeship, and I’ll carry the positive psychology tools Liz taught me with me for life."

"I can’t thank Liz enough for the guidance and support she has given me over the past few months. She has truly opened my eyes to so many things I didn’t know about myself and helped me recognize my own character strengths and abilities. I know I will continue to use these tools in my life and share them with others.

Thanks to Liz, I even encouraged my mum to try her methods, and it’s been amazing to see the impact! My mum recently received a promotion at work and has even started attending night school to further her learning – something she feels inspired to do because of the tools and encouragement Liz shared with us.

Liz has helped me through so many hardships, and I feel incredibly grateful to have had her as a positive psychologist and mentor. Her guidance has made a real difference in both my life and my family’s, and I know the skills she teaches will continue to be valuable for years to come."

I first met Liz when she gave assemblies at our school, and I immediately signed up for the RISE positive psychology sessions she delivered afterwards. To say the things she introduced me to were life-changing is an understatement!

I was struggling a lot with emotional regulation and often had outbursts in lessons. Liz explained the neuroscience behind my feelings and gave me incredible tips to short-circuit meltdowns. One of the most important lessons I learned—and one I now share with all my friends and family—is: “My first word is my breath.” It really works.

Since applying Liz’s techniques, I am more attentive in lessons and haven’t been sent out or internally suspended for months!
